CHANNEL NINE NAMING RIGHTS PARTNER FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIAN AMATEUR FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Channel Nine is the naming rights partner for the South Australian Amateur Football League.
In a major coup for amateur football in Adelaide, Nine made a strong commitment to SAAFL in 2014 and beyond through the promotion of the league and its associated clubs.
Channel Nine will also assume naming rights of two senior divisions and two Under 18 divisions.
Nine News Director, Tony Agars, said: “Nine is delighted to be associated with grassroots footy in Adelaide.
This is where it all happens with players battling it out at local venues with community support, and now major television network backing.
“Channel Nine Adelaide prides itself on being local and has been part of South Australia since 1959. This further connects us with the community.”
“We look forward to working with the clubs, players and officials to take the South Australian Amateur Football to the next level.”
The association with a premier media partner such as Channel Nine is a first for the league and a reflection of the importance of footy within our community.
It is exciting and commendable that Channel Nine has sought an association with SAAFL, Australia’s largest senior Australian Rules Football League.
