A TIPSTERS NIGHTMARE
Round 2 of the Adelaide Footy League features five games that could easily go either way. It should feature some classic encounters and with teams coming off a week’s break there are no excuses for what might feel like a déjà vu round 1.
The game of the round will emanate from Campbelltown Oval where two of last year’s finalists Rostrevor and PNU both look like they might be pushing deeper into September in 2017. Rostrevor who had a disruptive season in 2016 parting ways with their coach mid-season seem to be on the rise. Michael Coad and Jacob Gillbee look to be excellent acquisitions. They have also retained the core of their squad from last year in the form of the O’Malley boys, Paul “Amazeya” Fantasia, Holm, Hurley, Hombsch and Holland.
The Falcons on ball rotations are a star studded group with the likes of Ialeggio, Giannini, Lowe, Pippet and Nye now re-enforced by Ancell, Brunoli and Donahue. PNU had the Rocs measure in 2016 as the boys from Rostrevor were unable to curtail the influence of twin towers Liam “LD” Davis and the man they call “The Situation” Nick Jolly.
